Summary
Adaptable product manager and designer with a passion for turning ideas into impactful solutions on the hunt for a sustainability-focused startup role. Fun fact: every Saturday I lead gardening workshops dressed as a bee!
Ideally I'd love to connect with interesting high-growth startups working within decarbonisation or sustainability. My perfect work environment is a small team 10-40 working on a hard problem worth solving for the planet. I have a raw passion for discovering the true problem to solve and I am a scientist and designer at heart. Most of all, I just like working on cool stuff with cool people. Would love to hear from some kindred spirits.
Current situation
I’m a versatile product manager and designer currently looking for a product leadership role based ideally in Auckland. I have worked in a range of disciplines over 10 years in America, UK and New Zealand, primarily in the sustainability. I previously worked at a small American startup (12 people) and more recently at an clean energy startup the UK (3 people) designing next-generation solar panels...
What makes me different
I believe one of the biggest challenges for sustainability is better data, so I created an open source global database of pulling in sustainability metrics for every country, measuring everything from energy consumption to agricultural land usage to chemical runoff. With more data, I think we can start to make better decisions that impact our future.
Companies I admire
I'm a big fan of PawsFirst, creating innovative pet tech for health and happiness. Zoocare's commitment to animal welfare and FluffNest's sustainable pet products also inspire admiration for their positive impact on pets and the environment.
